JACKSONVILLE, Ala.- The Georgia State women’s soccer team played to a 0-0 double over time draw at Jacksonville State Sunday afternoon.

With the draw, the Panthers are now 1-2-1 and the Gamecocks are 2-1-1.

GSU took three shots in the first half, with two being on goal. Senior Brie Haynes made three saves for the team in the first 45 minutes of play, making five overall.

The Panthers took five shots in the second half, but the two shots on target were kept out of the net by Gamecock saves. Both teams took one shot each in the first overtime, with neither on target.

Monique Hundley once again led the team in shots with three of Georgia State’s nine. The junior is now tied for second with eight shots this season.

"Away games always test a young group," head coach Ed Joyce said. "We were flat in the first half but challenged them to battle in the second half. We are proud of the girls for rising to the challenge and competing in the second half and the overtime periods."

Georgia State will return to the field Friday night at Austin Peay. Live stats will be available at GeorgiaStateSports.com.
