ATLANTA- The Georgia State women's soccer team will head to Conway, S.C. to face Coastal Carolina for a mid-week matchup Thursday night.
The Panthers are 3-7-2 (1-3-1 SBC) following a 0-0 double overtime draw against Louisiana Sunday afternoon.
Georgia State has shut out five opponents this season, with Brie Haynes posting 43 saves in goal for a .796 save percentage. Haynes has allowed 11 goals this season for a 1.19 goals against the average.
On the offensive side of the ball, junior Monique Hundley leads the team with 29 shots while sophomore Brooke Shank ranks second with 20. Hundley ranks third in the conference with 2.91 shots per game.
GSU has fired 164 shots this season, with five Panthers posting double-digit shots. The team has put 75 shots on target for a .457 shots on goal percentage.
The Chanticleers are 8-4-1 (3-2-1 SBC) this season and are coming off a 0-0 double overtime tie against Little Rock Sunday afternoon. The team is 5-1 at home, falling to Panther rival Georgia Southern to open conference play.
Both teams have faced each other just once in series history, with the Panthers holding a 1-0 series advantage. Last season Georgia State shut out Coastal Carolina in a 2-0 victory at the GSU Soccer Complex.
