ATLANTA – Georgia State women’s soccer looks to get back in the winning column with a match against Troy Sunday afternoon at the GSU Soccer Complex.
GSU (2-9-1, 0-4) is back in action after falling 2-0 to Arkansas State on Sunday. The Panthers enter the weekend ranked fourth in the Sun Belt in total shots with 124 and sixth with a goals against average of 1.43. Brooke Shank leads GSU in goals scored (3), total points (6), total shots (24) and shots on goal (11).
Troy (2-9-1, 1-2) aims to bounce back from a three-game losing streak, as the Trojans most recently dropped a 2-1 decision to Coastal Carolina. Troy will travel for a match at South Alabama on Friday before taking on the Panthers on Sunday. The Trojans enter the weekend ranked first in the conference in corner kicks with 56 and fifth in goals scored with 10.
Sunday will be the 17th meeting between Georgia State and Troy. The Panthers own a 9-5-2 advantage in the all-time series, while the Trojans won the most recent between the two programs 3-0 in 2017.
