ATLANTA -- Kensey Caldwell was responsible for both of Georgia State’s walkoffs Saturday as GSU swept the doubleheader from UT Arlington to be named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines.

In Game 1, Caldwell put the ball in play with the bases loaded and the winning run came home on an error. In Game 2, Caldwell launched a walk-off grand slam to defeat the Mavericks 10-6. On defense, Caldwell played both second and shortstop, making some big plays Sunday at shortstop to keep Georgia State within striking distance.

Caldwell scored a run in each contest and did not strike out in 12 at-bats.

In Sun Belt play this season, Caldwell is hitting a blistering .434 (23-for-53) with four home runs, 17 RBI and four doubles. She has struckout just three times in 53 at-bats.
