NEW ORLEANS - Senior Megan Litumbe was named this week's Sun Belt Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Litumbe helped the Panthers go 3-1 last week, including a series win over Georgia Southern. Litumbe's honor marks back-to-back awards for GSU as Ivie Drake was named Player of the Week last Tuesday.

The senior hit .538 with three doubles, six RBI and two walks last week.

Litumbe went a perfect 3-for-3 on Senior Day as the Panthers run-ruled the Eagles in five innings. She got a hit in each game and recorded two multi-hit games. She also doubled in all three games against Georgia Southern.

Litumbe slugged .769 for the week and ended the regular season on a 10-game hit streak.

The Panthers will open the Sun Belt Conference Championship on Wednesday in Game No. 4. Georgia State will play the winner of No. 6 South Alabama/No. 7 Georgia Southern at 6:30 p.m. ET.
