ATLANTA - Georgia State was defeated 12-1 in five innings Wednesday by No. 20 Auburn at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.

Auburn jumped out to a 4-0 lead with three doubles in the top of the first. The Tigers added a run in the second and put up five runs on the board in the third.

Skylar Mosel got the Panthers on the board in the bottom of the fourth for GSU's lone run of the contest. With Reagan Morgan on second, Mosel singled to center and a bobble by the center fielder allowed Morgan to score.

Caitlin Ray continued to hit the ball well with a 1-for-2 day at the plate. Ray has a hit in four straight games for GSU.

Georgia State returns to Sun Belt Conference play this weekend as UTA comes to town for a three-game series beginning Friday at the Bob Heck Softball Complex.
