ATLANTA- Following an impressive 4-2 victory over LSU to conclude ITA Kickoff Weekend, the Georgia State men’s tennis team will look for its second Power-5 win in a row Friday afternoon at Auburn.

The Panthers are 4-3, with two of their three losses coming against top-30 teams.

Sebastian Acuna leads the team in singles play, going 4-0 at the No. 4 and No. 3 positions. His last victory put GSU within one point of the clinch, rallying from a first set loss to defeat Rafael Wagner in the tie-breaker set.

Kevin Huynh is also performing solidly in singles, going 4-1 primarily at the No. 5 position. The freshman has gone to the tie-breaker set twice and is on a one-match win-streak following a 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 defeat of Julian Saborio from LSU.

Junior Giles Hussey has started off the season well, going 2-1 at primarily the No. 6 position. Hussey earned the first point for the Panthers over LSU last weekend and put the team within one point of a clinch over Mercer to open the season.

Auburn is 4-2 on the season, riding a one-match losing streak after the Harvard Indoors. The Tigers opened the season with a triple-header, defeating Jackson State three times before falling to Georgia Tech and Harvard.

The Panthers faced Auburn last year at the FSU Invite, defeating the team 4-2 on the way to winning the tournament.

First serve is set for 2 p.m. at the Yarbrough Tennis Center, with live stats available at GeorgiaStateSports.com.
