ATLANTA- The Georgia State men’s tennis team will head to Jacksonville, Fla. for weekend play, facing North Florida and Charlotte in the final two matches before conference play.
The Panthers are 4-6 on the season and looking for their first win since opening February play. The team opened its slate well, going 4-3 in January and placing third in two spring tournaments. GSU is on a three-match losing streak after three hard-fought losses against Power-5 opponents.
Georgia State has faced North Florida once this season, defeating the Ospreys 4-0 at the FSU Spring Invite.
UNF is 3-5 on the season, falling 1-6 in its last two matches. The team most recently fell to LSU, who the Panthers defeated 4-2 during ITA Kickoff Weekend.
Charlotte is 5-4 entering the weekend, bringing its two-match losing streak to Jacksonville, Fla. The 49ers will face North Florida Sunday afternoon to close out the weekend.
First serve against the Ospreys will be at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, with action against Charlotte beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
