* The Panthers will open spring break play at UCF tomorrow afternoon.
* The team will play Penn State at 1 p.m.
* GSU is 8-7 on the season.
ATLANTA- The Georgia State men’s tennis team will kick off spring break play against Penn State tomorrow afternoon in Orlando, Fla. at 1 p.m.
The Panthers are 8-7 on the season, defeating ETSU 5-2 Sunday at home. The team is 4-1 when playing in Florida, most recently earning victories over North Florida and Charlotte in Jacksonville, Fla.
GSU is led in singles play by Giles Hussey, who recently earned Sun Belt Player of the Week after going 4-0 overall last weekend. Hussey is 8-3 in singles play and on a five-match winning streak.
Sebastian Acuna also leads the team in singles, going 8-1 and winning his last four matches at the No. 2 and 3 positions.
Hussey and Jack MacFarlane are competing well in doubles play, going undefeated as a pair and defeating the ITA No. 2 doubles team at Georgia Tech. Acuna and Andrei Duarte are also competing impressively as a duo, playing at the No. 2 and 3 positions and holding a 6-4 record as a pair.
Penn State is 7-5 this season, winning its last two matches. The Nittany Lions faced host UCF yesterday, defeating the Knights 4-3.
First serve at the USTA National Campus will be at 1 p.m.
