ATLANTA – Georgia State announced on Friday the addition of five non-conference games to future schedules highlighted by a road game at South Carolina and a home-and-home series with East Carolina.

The Panthers will open the 2022 season facing a Southeastern Conference opponent for the fourth-straight season when Georgia State makes the drive to Columbia, S.C., to face South Carolina on Sept. 3. Georgia State already has games scheduled with Tennessee (2019), Alabama (2020) and Auburn (2021) leading up to the match-up with the Gamecocks. The Panthers also previously announced a home-and-home series with Vanderbilt for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Georgia State also added a home-and-home series with East Carolina that will begin in Atlanta on Sept. 2, 2023, and conclude in Greenville, N.C., on Sept. 16, 2028.

Due to a hurricane last fall, Georgia State will now conclude a home-and-home series with Memphis on Sept. 6, 2025. The Panthers open the series at Memphis during the upcoming season on Friday, Sept. 14, live on the ESPN Family of Networks.

Georgia State has also added a home game with Army at Georgia State Stadium on Oct. 19, 2019, completing the non-conference schedule for that season. The non-conference schedules for 2021 and 2022 have also been completed. The Panthers will also face the Black Knights in a home-and-home series in 2021 and 2022.

Due to Savannah State transitioning to NCAA Division II status, the game with the Tigers that was previously scheduled for 2020 has been canceled.

The 2018 schedule was officially announced earlier this week. In non-conference play, Georgia State will host Kennesaw State (Aug. 30) and Western Michigan (Sept. 22), while going on the road to face NC State (Sept. 8) and Memphis (Sept. 14)
