The May 10th Fan Council Meeting will be held at the Georgia State Football Practice Facility at 188 MLK.

ATLANTA-Before kicking off the 2017 football season in the new Georgia State Stadium this fall, the Department of Athletics announced on Tuesday the formation of the Panthers Fan Council to give fans, alums, staff and community the opportunity to assist in various initiatives and topics for the new stadium.

Anyone will be welcome to be a part of the Panthers Fan Council which will include three meetings this spring in the President's Club at Georgia State Stadium.

Fans will be instrumental in coming up with plans to welcome the team to the stadium, in-game experience and promotions, donor relations, ticketing, customer service and other opportunities.

Three meeting dates have been set beginning with Wednesday, March 22. The second meeting is scheduled for May 10, with a third meeting coming on July 26. Meetings will be held from 6-7 p.m. in the President's Club (formerly the 755 Club) at Georgia State Stadium.

“As we move into our new stadium, we are looking at ways to increase the fan experience,” Brian Kelly, Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations said. “There is so much more that we can do in our own stadium and we want to know what the fans are interested in. We want Georgia State Stadium to feel like home for our fans and give them a gameday experience that they deserve.”

Georgia State will open the 2017 season on Thursday, Aug. 31, facing Tennessee State.
