ATLANTA -- The 2019 college football season is still 11 weeks away, but the Georgia State football team is back on campus for summer workouts and preparations for the Panthers' 10th football season.

All 20 members of head coach Shawn Elliott's 2019 recruiting class are now enrolled and participating in workouts, along with the returning veterans.

The Panthers have also added four-year transfers in linebacker Kyle Wright from North Carolina and receiver Corey Reed from Louisville.

Elliott and his staff and team have moved into the new football operations center at Georgia State Stadium, which includes offices, meetings rooms, weight room and athletic training room, adjacent to the team locker room.

The training, the lifting, everything you in the summer encompasses how successful you will be in the fall. These next two months are vital for our football program. Everything comes together in the summer.

It's truly amazing to come over here to our new football operations suite, which encompasses everything from our meeting rooms to our coaches' offices, all of our film rooms, our weight room, our training room ... everything is here at Georgia State Stadium," Elliott said. "It's a phenomenal facility, and you couldn't ask for a better setup if you're a student-athlete because we have everything right here, including our academic center."

Elliott is especially excited about the new weight room.

"It's incredible," he said. "When you walk in there, it exudes toughness and work. We've got an enormous amount of space, and we've filled it with great equipment. Our players are really excited about it."
