Georgia State will open the home portion of the schedule on Sept. 7, facing Furman at 7 p.m. Under third-year head coach Shawn Elliott, the Panthers will also face Army (Oct. 19 – 7 p.m.) and Troy (Oct. 26 – 7 p.m.) at night under the lights of Georgia State Stadium.
The annual Homecoming Game will take place on Oct. 5, against Arkansas State with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff, while the final two home games of the season against Appalachian State (Nov. 16) and South Alabama (Nov. 23) will take place at 2 p.m.
“We are excited to play three games under the lights at Georgia State Stadium this year,” Director of Athletics Charlie Cobb said. “We are expecting a great crowd on Sept. 7, for our first Saturday night game inside our stadium, and we know that it is just the start of an exciting season of football for Coach Elliott’s squad.”
