“We are excited to welcome Petra to the Georgia State family,” head coach Cathy Mant said. “I feel as though she can be a diamond in the rough. She is new to competition, but can really play. She is smart, long off the tee and has a real zest for competition.”
Duran has been playing her best golf as of late, winning her last two tournaments. She recently won the Campeonato de Barcelona Absoluto Championship and the U18 Catalan Championship.

She has competed at the highest level of international junior golf, competing in the Girls’ British Open Amateur Championship earlier this year.
Georgia State concluded its fall season last month. The Panthers will open the spring season Feb. 21-22 at the Amelia Island Collegiate on Amelia Island, Fla.
