* The Georgia State women’s golf team will return to the 40th annual FIU Pat Bradley Classic beginning on Sunday for the third consecutive year at Lakewood Ranch Golf Club.
* Freshman Chloe Howard, who has yet to finish outside the top 30, leads the Panthers with a 74.11 scoring average in three tournaments this fall.
* The Panthers finished eighth in the event at Lakewood Ranch Golf Club last year, shooting a second-round 298.

ATLANTA – Coming off a two-week break, the Georgia State women’s golf team will return to the course on Sunday for the 40th annual FIU Pat Bradley Classic at Lakewood Ranch Golf Club. The three-day event will feature teams from throughout the country on the par 72, 6,298-yard course.

Georgia State has competed in the event in each of the last two years, finishing eight last year in what was then the final event of the fall. The Panthers will compete one more time next week before wrapping up the season.

Freshman Chloe Howard has led the Panthers this fall with three-straight top 30 finishes and a team best 74.11 scoring average.

“After a couple of weeks of practice, our team is excited to get back on the course and finish the fall season over the next week in strong fashion,” head coach Cathy Mant said. “Several members of our team have now played multiple rounds at Lakewood Ranch and I think that will help as we get play underway.”

The line-up this week will include Howard, along with juniors Emily Royer and Jemima Gregson, as well as sophomores Harmanprit Kaur and Grace Choi.

Along with Georgia State, the field includes Boston College, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Florida Atlantic, FIU, Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, Morehead State, South Florida, Southern Miss, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UMKC, Western Kentucky and Wyoming.

The 15-team field will play 54 holes over three days beginning on Sunday. Teams will utilized tee times the first two days starting at 8:30 a.m., with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start set for the final round on Tuesday.


Following this week’s tournament, Georgia State will close out the fall season at the Ladies Fall Classic hosted by Louisville at Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek beginning next Friday.
