ATLANTA -- As Georgia State University holds its Spring Commencement today and tomorrow, Panther Athletics proudly celebrates the graduation of 61 current and former student-athletes.

Football will lead the way with 28 graduates, including two who are currently among the NFL ranks. Wil Lutz, who was the starting kicker for the New Orleans Saints this year earned his degree after finishing an internship this spring. He will soon be joined by fellow graduate Robert Davis who was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the sixth round of the NFL Draft just two weeks ago. Also among the football graduates are nine current student-athletes who will be playing for the Panthers this fall.

Three men's basketball players are scheduled to graduate, including Carter Cagle who earned his degree in just three years.

Softball, which opens the Sun Belt Championship on Wednesday will have five walk across the stage this week, while men's tennis will graduate three before heading to the NCAA tournament to face Kentucky in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Friday.
