Panther Family,

Wow!!  Hope as many as possible can make it to Nashville on Friday. Tickets are available and will be distributed based on your priority level within the Panther Athletic Club.

It goes without saying, but we’re incredibly proud of Coach Hunter, coaches McCallum, Pardue and White, the basketball support staff and, of course, our kids. Three incredible efforts in New Orleans and GSU is in the Big Dance for only the fourth time, but the second time in four years. We base our brand on grit and determination (as highlighted with banners in the Sports Arena) and this group personifies this toughness of character.  As a player, you only get these opportunities a few times and I know the team understands. I also know this group is not done.

To be one of a select few schools to win a bowl game and earn a Big Dance invitation is especially gratifying. Great things are happening in Downtown Atlanta and we are so very excited about what our staff and kids accomplish every day.

I also want to offer props to Coach Greg Frady and the baseball team’s 11-4 start after the weekend sweep on the road against a quality Samford program. He said at the First Pitch Banquet he thought this was a special team.

Beth Van Fleet’s Beach Volleyball team continues its customary solid start with several recent wins, including a couple versus ranked teams and a big weekend of three wins.

Special shout outs go to our men’s golf team for the second-place finish in Auburn's Tiger Invitational and our women’s tennis team for beating a nationally ranked Kansas State team over the week. I also want to recognize our other spring sports - softball, men’s tennis and women’s golf - because they are enjoying good starts that we will recognize in future editions.

Light It Blue, Panther Family!
