Georgia State Athletics' 12th annual Red Cross Blood Drive will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18 during Homecoming Week.

Athletics' Student-Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) coordinates the volunteers and recruits fellow GSU student to come support the critical life-saving cause.

All donors receive the 2016 tee-shirt with the official GSU Homecoming Logo on the sleeve.

The Blood Drive is on the fourth floor of the GSU Sports Arena from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.  In addition, a donor area will be available at the University Commons Housing from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

For the first time, the Blood Drive will be part of Homecoming Week at Georgia State.

The Red Cross and Athletics' thank everyone from last year when a record 430 units of blood were collected in the single-day drive, which translates into enough blood to effect or save 1,290 lives. A total of 482 presenters turned out that day to make a major impact.
