ATLANTA – A total of 176 Georgia State student-athletes were honored by the Sun Belt Conference for their academic work during the 2017-18 academic year on Thursday.
Two awards were given out as 99 student-athletes earned Commissioner’s List honors, while another 77 student-athletes earned Academic Honor Roll recognition.
The success comes following a spring semester in which Georgia State student-athletes earned a 3.14-grade point average.
The 3.14-grade point average marked the 20th consecutive semester, dating back to 2008, that the Panthers have maintained a GPA (semester or cumulative) of 3.0 or higher.
On Wednesday, the Georgia State men’s golf team and women’s track & field team were honored by the conference for the highest team GPA’s of any school for their sport.
