ATLANTA – Jada Lewis of Georgia State women’s basketball has been named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Panthers to a 2-0 week at the GSU Holiday Classic.

Lewis averaged 22.0 points per game with five assists and four steals. On Dec. 20 against North Carolina Central, Lewis scored a career high 30 points on 9-of-16 shooting. It was the most points by a Panther since 2007. She made nine of 11 free throw attempts and didn’t commit a turnover.

She reached double figures again the next day against Bethune-Cookman as she totaled 14 points with four assists.

For the week, Lewis shot 52% (14-27) from the field and played 75 of 80 minutes. She went 4-for-8 from 3-point range and missed just two free throws on 14 attempts.
