JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - In its first action of 2019, Georgia State's indoor track and field team had a strong showing Friday and Saturday at the ETSU Invitational in Johnson City, Tenn.

"After returning from a long winter break, I was pleased with how our team members performed," head coach Chris England said. "There were some rust and nerves, but the team's competitiveness and pride made them excel. Jaeda Hunt shined individually at ETSU. Her freshmen teammates and the upperclassmen leaders alike were eager for a strong showing. We now have five weeks until the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship. I anticipate the training and fitness to quickly return and have all team members geared up to vie for a team title."
