One of the top pitchers in Georgia State annals who set the school record for lowest career ERA at 3.81 in his three seasons (2017-19) .... Ranks second in GSU history with 277 career strikeouts (9.35 per nine innings), fourth in innings pitched (266.2)and sixth in games started (40) ... Named Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week after tossing a complete-game, 3-hit shutout with a career-high 10 strikeouts and no walks in a 2-0 win at Samford (3-9-18). Did not allow a hit until the sixth inning, when he allowed two singles. Only other hit was a bunt single in the 9th ... Suffered his first loss at UT Arlington (3-16-18).
Tossed his second complete game vs. South Alabama, when he blanked the Jags for first seven innings. Allowed two runs on four hits with eight strikeouts and earned his second Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week award ... Allowed just one earned run in seven innings at Troy but was not involved in the decision in GSU’s 5-2 win.
Picked up victory No. 6 vs. Arkansas State (4-6-18), when he allowed one earned run in seven innings with six strikeouts.
Defeated No. 16 Coastal Carolina (4-20-18) on the road for his seventh win as he allowed two runs on five hits with eight strikeouts over seven innings ... Not involved in the decision but had eight of the Panthers’ school-record 18 strikeouts in 6-5, 12-inning win vs. Louisiana (4-27-18).
Earned his eighth victory vs. Appalachian State (5-11-18), when he blanked the Mountaineers for seven innings before allowing two runs in the eighth inning. He pitched eight innings, allowing two runs on six hits with five strikeouts and no walks.
Earned victory No. 9 in relief on the final day of the regular season to help the Panthers clinch their Sun Belt tournament berth in a 5-4 win at Georgia Southern. Came on with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning of a tie game and struck out DH Tyler Martin on three pitches. After the Panthers took the lead in the top of the ninth, he struck out the side to close out the win.
Finished his season with a dominating performance vs. Little Rock in the Sun Belt tourney, despite pitching on short rest. Took a no-hitter with a career-high 12 strikeouts into the eighth inning before giving up a single up the middle with two outs in the eighth. Final line was 7.2 innings, 0 runs, 1 hit, 2 BB, 12 strikeouts (most by a Panther since 2010) ... Named to Sun Belt All-Tournament team ... Combined with his relief outing on the final day of the regular season, for his last nine innings, he allowed 0 runs on one hit with 16 strikeouts ... His 12 strikeouts vs. Little Rock are the most by a Panther since future Major Leaguer David Buchanan struck out 12 in 2010.
Georgia State’s top pitcher as a freshman with a 4-4 record and a 3.72 ERA ... Moved into the weekend rotation on the third weekend after earning two wins out of the bullpen ... Led the team with 67 strikeouts, against 19 walks, and 75.0 innings pitched ... Had a .227 average against.
Had a no-hitter through seven innings vs. UT Arlington (3-18-17) before allowing a solo homer to lead off the eighth. Allowed one run on two hits with six strikeouts in 7.2 innings as GSU won 2-1 ... Pitched into the ninth against Troy, when he allowed just two earned runs and four hits with seven strikeouts. Did not allow a hit from the second through the eighth inning ... Before allowing that run to UTA, he pitched 18 consecutive scoreless innings, three shy of the school record ... Also had quality starts in losses to Coastal Carolina (allowed three runs in seven innings) and Arkansas State (allowed one earned run on four hits in 7.1 innings).
Made a relief appearance at App State after a long rain delay and earned the victory with 6.1 innings, allowing two earned runs with six strikeouts ... Allowed two runs on five hits in six innings vs. Little Rock but was not involved in the decision after leaving with a 3-2 lead.
Earned a victory against Western Michigan (2-18-17) in his GSU debut as he came on in the fifth inning and threw three innings, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out four ... Allowed one run in 3.1 innings to pick up the win at Jacksonville (2-26-17) ... Made his first start vs. Northern Kentucky (3-4-17) and pitched four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts but did not figure in the decision ... Pitched seven scoreless innings in a combined shutout of Army (3-11-17). Allowed just four hits and one walk while striking out seven. Did not allow a hit until the fifth inning.
