ATLANTA – With just one tournament remaining in the fall schedule, the Georgia State men’s golf team announced its spring schedule on Tuesday as the Panthers look to return to NCAA Regional play.

Georgia State has three fall tournaments in the books and will conclude the season starting Monday by hosting the Autotrader Collegiate Classic at Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth.

Georgia State will open the spring season Feb. 24-26, at the Tiger Invitational at Grand National Golf Club in Opelika, Ala. Georgia State has finished in the top five in the event just across the state border in each of the last four years, including a second-place finish in the 17-team field last year.

Georgia State will then travel to South Georgia for the Schenkel Invitational hosted by in-state rival Georgia Southern March 15-17 at Forest Heights Golf Club.

The Panthers will return to the Furman Intercollegiate March 22-24, at the Furman University Course in Greenville, S.C. Georgia State won the event three straight years from 2013-2015.

It will be followed by a return trip to the 3M Augusta Invitational April 6-7 at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. The Panthers will join an elite field the weekend before the start of The Masters. GSU earned an eighth-place finish last season as Max Herrmann and Nick Budd both finished among the top 10.

The Panthers will close out the regular season at the Shoal Creek Invitational April 15-16, at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Shoal Creek, Ala.

“We are very pleased with the way our spring schedule came together,” head coach Chad Wilson said. “We have a couple of repeat tournaments from last spring, but also added a couple new ones, including an event at Shoal Creek at the end of the season that should be special.”

Georgia State will look to earn another Sun Belt Championship and win a ninth conference championship at The Raven in Miramar Beach, Fla., April 21-24.

NCAA Regional play will once again take place at six national sites, May 13-15. The NCAA Championship is set for The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark., May 24-29, with the final day of stroke play and the match play portion of the event televised on The Golf Channel.
