ATLANTA -- Georgia State got home runs from Chase Frady, Rhett Harper and Luke Leonard, but Presbyterian broke open a close game with an eight-run eighth inning to win 13-4 Wednesday at the GSU Baseball Complex.

The Panthers (14-35) hit three homers in a game for the first time all season, but all three were solo shots that led off innings.

Harper, who graduates this week with a 4.16 grade point average in finance, led off the seventh with his solo shot down the left field line for his second homer in the last three games. The fifth-year senior hit a game-tying homer in the eighth inning of last Saturday's win at Texas State that was his first home run since the second game of his freshman season in 2015, a span of 1,540 days. He became a pitcher in 2016 and missed the 2018 season due to injury before returning to the outfield earlier this year.

Frady, the freshman third baseman, hit his first career homer to lead off the second inning, while Leonard, the Panthers' senior center fielder, led off the ninth inning with his fourth round-tripper of the season.

Presbyterian (24-25), which defeated Clemson Tuesday, jumped in front with three runs in the first inning off GSU starter Joseph Brandon (1-5) and then added single runs in the fourth and sixth innings. After Harper's homer brought GSU within 5-3 after seven, the Blue Hose scored eight in the eighth.

Georgia State plays its next four games on the road, beginning with a Sun Belt Conference series at Louisiana this weekend, and then concludes the regular season by hostitng Georgia Southern May 16-18.
