A Note of Thanks

Earlier this fall, members of the Georgia State football team took time to write letters to U.S. soldiers deployed around the world.

In response to the efforts of the Panther players, the letter below was sent to Georgia State University:

My name is LTC Mike Sennett and I work for 8th Army Public Affairs in Seoul, Korea.  Knowing I'm from the Atlanta area (Acworth), one of my folks brought a box of letters to me from your football team this morning and asked if I was familiar with GSU.

I just wanted to pass on a note of thanks to Coach Curry and the GSU football team for the letters they sent to the troops here in Korea.  I know individuals/organizations often take time out of their schedules to do things like this without ever getting feedback on the end product.

I can assure you the Soldiers here in Korea welcome notes such as these as it helps bring a bit of America home to those that can't be in the US for the holidays (especially those from the Atlanta area).

I just wanted to say thanks and let you know that the efforts are much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Mike
