Countdown To Season Opener- Day 5- Make Your Move

Assistant Coach Jason French made his move to join GSU four years ago after finishing an eight-year professional playing career.

French has tutored the Panther linebackers, including current New York Giants' Jake Muasau. This year, French adds more responsibilities to coordinate the GSU special teams.

As a player, French graduated from Murray (Ky.) State with 55 pass receptions and was drafted in the second round of the Canadian Football League. He played eight years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders, where he made his moves to rank among their top-20 all-time receivers.

Born in Montreal, French moved to Atlanta with his family and graduated from Columbia High in Decatur. Jason and his wife, Amber, have two daughters.

Make your move to watch the Panthers at the Georgia Dome this season, starting with the opener on Thursday, August 30. Visit the Georgia State University Athletics page on Facebook to check out his list of favorites, who his favorite players and coach were, what his best memories as a player and coach were, plus something unique about him that even his teammates don't know.

Only 5 days to kickoff at the Georgia Dome! Season Tickets start at just $50! Check out all of our ticket packages online HERE or call 866-GA-STATE to get the best seats today!
