ATLANTA -- With the start of the college football season 100 days away, four Georgia State Panthers have earned recognition on Phil Steele's Preseason All-Sun Belt team.
Junior Albert Wilson (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) was tabbed to the preseason second team at both wide receiver and return specialist.
Named to the third team were senior offensive tackle Grant King (Columbia, S.C.), senior defensive tackle Terrance Woodard (Ocilla, Ga.) and junior punter Matt Hubbard (Peachtree City, Ga.).
Wilson is coming off a junior season in which he caught 48 passes for 947 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 25.9 yards per kickoff return. He was named Co-Special Teams Player of the Year in the Colonial Athletic Association as well as all-conference at receiver and return specialist.
Hubbard earned second-team all-conference honors last fall after averaging 43.1 yards per punt. King is the only player to start every game of Georgia State's first three seasons. Woodard was GSU's top defensive player last fall with 59 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery.
Phil Steele's 2013 College Football Preview is scheduled to hit news stands June 18.
Playing its first season in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and Sun Belt Conference, Georgia State opens the 2013 season by hosting Samford on Friday, Aug. 30 at the Georgia Dome.
