ATLANTA -- Following a 3-0 sweep of in-state rival Mercer, the Georgia State volleyball team returns to action this weekend when they head to Chicago, Ill., for the DePaul Invitational.
The Panthers will meet up with Big South-member Radford on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m., before clashing with Big East-member and host DePaul on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. All games will be available via Gametracker on GSU's website. Fans also have the option to purchase the live feed of the matches on DePaul's website.
"The tournament this weekend will again be a good test for our team as we continue to prepare for CAA competition," said head coach Tami Audia.
The Highlanders (3-5), dropped Chicago State, 3-0, on Thursday in a warm-up for the tournament.
The Blue Demons (0-6) dropped two matches at the Chicagoland Classic and four at the IUPUI Hampton Inn Invitational. Included in the six losses was one to Wright State, 3-0, which GSU defeated, 3-2, at the Georgia State Invitational.
The victory over the Bears on Wednesday increased the Panthers series lead over Mercer to 32-4. Senior Rachel Boryc had a career-high 14 kills to pace the Panthers.
Following the DePaul Invitational, the Panthers will host the University of Georgia in a 5:30 p.m. match on Tuesday.
