ATLANTA--Georgia State students, alumni and fans are invited to Panther Nation at Atlantic Station, an evening of fun and entertainment with a GSU football theme at the popular Midtown community on Thursday, Sept. 13 from 7-9 p.m.

Featuring live music, entertainment, giveaways and food vendors in the Central Park area, Panther Nation at Atlantic Station will get fans ready for the GSU football team's next home game, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m., when the Panthers host UTSA at the Georgia Dome.

Free entertainment includes performances by the Georgia State band, cheerleaders and Pantherettes as well as a Greek Stroll Showcase by GSU fraternities and sororities. The evening will conclude with a free performance by Jud Shuway.

Shuttle service will be available to transport GSU students from campus.  Shuttles will run continuously from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., with pickup and drop-off on campus at the GSU Sports Arena and at the University Commons.

Thursday's event is the first of three scheduled for this fall. Panther Nation at Atlantic Station will also take place on Wednesday, Oct. 17, in advance of the GSU Homecoming football game (Oct. 20 vs. Villanova) and on Thursday, Nov. 1, prior to the Panthers' home finale and the final game at the Georgia Dome for head coach Bill Curry (Nov. 3 vs. Old Dominion).
