ATLANTA – Georgia State has completed its 2015 non-conference schedule with the addition of a home game against Liberty, Director of Athletics Cheryl L. Levick announced Friday.
The Flames, an FCS program in the Big South Conference, will visit the Georgia Dome on Oct. 3, 2015.
The game against Liberty will be one of two non-conference dates at home in 2015 as Georgia State will also host Charlotte on Sept. 3. The Panthers have non-conference road games scheduled at UAB (Sept. 12, 2015) and at Oregon (Sept. 19, 2015), along with the eight-game Sun Belt Conference slate.
With the addition of the Liberty contest, the Georgia State schedule is complete for the next two years. The 2014 slate features home games against Air Force and Abilene Christian and road trips to Washington and Clemson. In conference play, the Panthers will host Georgia Southern, Arkansas State, New Mexico State and Texas State while travelling to Appalachian State, Louisiana-Lafayette, South Alabama and Troy.
Looking further ahead, Georgia State has three of its four non-conference games scheduled for 2016 with road games at Air Force and at Wisconsin and a home date with UAB, while the 2017 slate includes a game at Charlotte.
