CONWAY, SC. - After going 1-1 against James Madison at home, Georgia State travels to Conway to take on Coastal Carolina. The Panthers will face the Chanticleers Friday, Oct. 11 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2:00 p.m.
Georgia State has won ten out of its last fourteen matches, doubling its wins from the previous season.
Under the leadership of head coach Flavia Siqueria, the Panthers look to continue their come- back season as they continue conference play.
Georgia State and Coastal Carolina are meeting for the nineteenth time in program history. Coastal Carolina is undefeated against Georgia State. The Panthers fell to Coastal Carolina in their last meeting 2-3 at home on Sept. 2023.
Keionna Mackey leads the Panthers in kills, recording 203 on the season. Mackey has been a key addition to the Panthers' lineup, averaging 3.38 kills per set. She is currently ranked 98 in the nation for total points, and 77 in the nation for total kills.
Graduate transfer Kaleigh Fitzgerald has served as the Panthers' libero, registering 212 digs on the season so far. Fitzgerald ranks 271 in the nation for total digs.
Next up, Georgia State is back home to take on Old Dominion. The Panthers will compete Friday, Oct. 18 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Oct 19 at 2: 00 p.m.
